Architecture is a never-ending practice of optimism. It embraces every moment of our lives, shaping our emotions and behaviors. Beautiful spaces, obtained through research and design, make us better.

Architecture relentlessly aims to Beauty.

Olbos Studio is an international architecture atelier dedicated to creating unique and authentic spaces for those who wish to fully inhabit their own identity.
We started with a clear and luminous conviction: every project is a story to be listened to attentively, every space a portrait to be drawn with respect, care, and beauty. Each place we design is an invitation to live more harmoniously within oneself, to rediscover balance between body, mind, and environment.

We believe that space is not merely a container but a living, dynamic, and relational dimension, capable of influencing emotions, inspiring genuine connections, and supporting the deepest aspirations of those who inhabit it day after day.
We do not chase trends or impose a predefined style. On the contrary, we cultivate creative freedom and critical thought to shape places that truly speak of the people who will live in them—living, intimate, and harmonious spaces that nurture daily life and evoke real emotion.

Each of our projects is both poetic and concrete: an act of listening, imagination, and transformation, where design becomes a sensitive and personal language—a way to tell who you are, where you want to go, and what kind of life you wish to live.

Operating between New York and Italy, we move fluidly among different cultures, languages, and sensibilities. This dual foundation allows us to fuse the understated elegance of Italian design, the poetic delicacy of the East, and the cultural vibrancy of America.

Our approach is tailor-made yet contemporary, sophisticated yet accessible—a dynamic balance between aesthetics, functionality, and well-being, always calibrated to the uniqueness of those who choose us.

This allows us to realize international projects while maintaining craft-level attention and an authentic connection with the people and contexts that welcome us. Every project begins with deep listening and unfolds as a shared human journey, where each client is a protagonist and an active participant. We do not believe in rigid formats or standardized models, but in a fluid, sensitive form of design.

For us, a good project is above all an act of respect: for the person who entrusts it to us, for the context in which it lives, and for the time and energy it requires. That is why we approach every new challenge with enthusiasm, curiosity, openness, and dedication.

We seek to create a space—both real and symbolic—where vision and empathy truly meet and generate lasting value.

Olbos Studio is a creative and human space, founded by architect Giorgia Cedro—a place where architecture, interior design, art, research, and culture intertwine harmoniously to create solutions that do not merely impress, but welcome, reflect, and endure. It is a laboratory of living ideas, a contemporary atelier where every detail has a soul and every design decision stems from conscious intention.

Here, every day, we renew our deep desire to give shape to beauty while remaining faithful to an ethics of respect, listening, and responsibility—a beauty that is never ostentatious, but always coherent, authentic, and close to life.

Because, for us, life only makes sense when lived in what truly represents you.
And in every project, our commitment is to reveal what makes each client unique—with grace, authenticity, and vision.

Founder

I am a licensed Italian architect based in New York and the founder of Olbos Studio, which also operates in Verona and Milan. My work moves fluidly between Europe and the United States, embracing a cultured, personal, and ever-evolving design approach that merges Italian poetic sensibility, Japanese formal precision, and American creative vitality. This cultural alchemy translates into deeply human projects—always faithful to the identity of those who will inhabit them—where every space is conceived as a tailored narrative.

My education began at the Politecnico di Milano, where I earned my master’s degree with Honors with a thesis on Japanese micro-spaces. That research was born from two long experiences in Tokyo, where I collaborated with firms such as Miurashin Architect + Associates and Klein Dytham Architecture. There, I took my first steps on construction sites, drew tirelessly, and began to build a method grounded in observation and attentive listening to context. Japan left an indelible mark on me: it taught me that architecture is not only about technique, but also about empathy, sensitivity, narrative intuition, and quiet dedication.

In parallel, in Italy, I participated in numerous urban and cultural initiatives and collaborated with emerging studios on installations and public interventions. I had the privilege of working with Cino Zucchi, one of the most prominent figures in the Italian architectural landscape, in whose studio I spent an intense and formative period. There I engaged with urban regeneration projects, international events, and educational workshops, also serving as a tutor.

I then decided to cross the ocean. In New York, I worked in very different contexts—first with Cicognani Betesh, then with WORKac. In these offices I took part in residential, public, and institutional projects of various scales, from interior design to libraries, from international offices to New York townhouses, following the entire design process through construction. My first built project in New York was a library overlooking the Manhattan Bridge, a symbolic place that gave me a full sense of architectural responsibility. I learned to manage the complexity of communicating with different teams of expertise through clear construction documents.

Over time, I have continued to study, write, exhibit, and collaborate with cultural organizations and institutions. I have curated exhibitions, written for journals and magazines, and coordinated events and festivals for new generations of European architects. This multidisciplinary dimension is part of my design DNA: for me, architecture is also culture, word, image, and dialogue. It means inhabiting space intelligently—but also imagining possible futures with courage and gentleness.

It is with this spirit that I founded Olbos Studio: an open space where design arises from the encounter between vision and listening, between desire and reality. Olbos Studio is an international atelier that creates unique, authentic spaces for those who wish to fully inhabit their own identity. Each project is a shared journey—a process where deep listening and creative freedom merge to transform dreams and needs into tangible, lived, and meaningful environments. It is not simply about creating beautiful or surprising places, but about shaping true portraits of the soul—habitable, harmonious, and sincere.

I deeply believe that every person deserves a space that represents them, welcomes them, and tells their story in all its nuances. That is why I design with respect, awareness, and freedom. My approach integrates aesthetics and function, well-being and real-estate value—but it always begins with the human being. I accompany those who choose Olbos Studio through a tailor-made process, in which every decision—from materials to light, from proportions to spatial rhythm—arises from attentive listening and unfolds into an authentic, intimate, and bespoke spatial narrative.

Today I continue to design between New York and Italy with passion, method, and vision. I love the craftsmanship of detail as much as the strategy of the whole, the lightness of drawing as much as the concreteness of building. I believe in the value of human relationships and in the ability to interpret, with delicacy, the deepest aspirations of those who entrust their spaces to me.

In every place, in every commission, I renew my daily promise: to remain free in my pursuit of beauty, and committed to honoring those who will inhabit it.

For me, architecture is above all an act of love toward the life that comes after us—and every space designed is a tangible possibility to inhabit ourselves, our world, and our relationships more fully.
