Architecture is a never-ending practice of optimism. It embraces every moment of our lives, shaping our emotions and behaviors. Beautiful spaces, obtained through research and design, make us better.
Architecture relentlessly aims to Beauty.
Olbos Studio started in 2020 as a refreshing answer to a new residential appreciation. Our commitment is to deliver projects that reflect our client’s desires through an enjoyable process. In architecture, we aspire to reach what the Ancient Greeks called olbos, a rare condition of bliss that comes from the responsible effort to make the best use of one’s skills (talents).
Olbos Studio is a design practice by architects. We believe every space can be challenged to improve through constructive communication with our clients. Our work is the product of your stories and our craft. Fresh, bold or with unexpected details: we specialize in bringing to life your tailored home.
We are based in New York City, but the world is our home
Giorgia Cedro
Founder
Giorgia is an Italian licensed architect and holds a Master’s degree with Honors in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano. Until founding Olbos Studio with Isabella Zagarese, Giorgia indulged her love for cities both as a student between Italy and France and while practicing in various research-oriented offices. Giorgia believes that nothing is impossible, she is a listener and a problem solver. She is always seeking for beauty and inspiration. Her most valuable experiences include the refurbishment of Hans Hollein’s Intercorp Tower while working for WORKac, and the proposal for the seven disused rail yards of Milan, Seven Beautiful Orchards, for Cino Zucchi Architetti. Her obsessive curiosity for the potential of small spaces had previously led her to Tokyo, where she interned at Klein Dytham architecture and at Miurashin Architect + Associates.
Giorgia is perfectly happy when reading Ovid’s ‘Metamorphoses’ in her Brooklyn apartment and strolling around the park with her cat. She is a Japanese book collector and a live-music lover.
