Nestled in the vibrant Piazza Brà, Come Prima offers a taste of Verona’s culinary heritage, with a focus on high-quality, artisanal ingredients. Serving up traditional gelato and savory focaccia, Come Prima brings a modern sensibility to time-honored recipes, celebrating the rich flavors of Veneto and Italy in every bite.
The design of the space evokes the vintage charm of gelato shops from the 60s, with a contemporary twist. The soft tiffany blue and cool-toned palette create a fresh, dreamy atmosphere, while the glossy handmade tiles—all shaped like gelato scoops—add texture and character to the space. These playful tiles, in shades of red, white, light green, and the main tiffany blue, reflect the joyful nature of gelato, with each color chosen to complement the freshness and artisanal quality of the products. The tiles are a nod to the shop’s commitment to craftsmanship, evoking a sense of nostalgia while celebrating flavorful moments.
During colder months, Come Prima transforms into a cozy focaccia haven, where oak wooden panels dress the walls to hold freshly baked goods, offering a warm contrast to the cool gelato offerings of summer. This seasonal versatility not only elevates the customer experience but also highlights the shop’s thoughtful design approach.
The name Come Prima reflects the owners' deep-rooted respect for tradition. It pays homage to one of their very first business venture over 35 years ago, a symbol of their ongoing commitment to quality and artisanal craftsmanship. Whether indulging in refreshing gelato or savoring the comforting flavors of focaccia, Come Prima combines timeless authenticity with modern playfulness, ensuring every visit is a celebration of Italy’s culinary culture.
